Scott Credit Union Renovation

Scott Credit Union is a full service financial institution with 14 locations throughout southern Illinois. The Scott Air Force Branch, which serves military and civil service personnel, was the first Scott Credit Union branch. The SAFB branch was in need of an exterior renovation not only for necessary upgrades, but to harmonize with the surrounding campus as well.

The new design and color scheme was based on the requirements set forth in the SAFB Architectural Compatibility Plan. The outdated metal panel building exterior will be reclad with a new exterior insulating finishing system. Classical architectural elements include a more prominent entrance with engaged columns to emphasize the vertical lines. Additional features include a sloped roof over the drive thru canopy and a bypass lane for a new ATM.

Oates provided civil and structural engineering and survey services, including an updated legal description.
