Parking Lot Maintenance Study

Oates Associates inspected and document the pavement condition of 59 parking lots at the Edwardsville, Alton School of Dental Medicine, and the East St. Louis campuses for Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.  The scope of services included review and documentation of each parking lot including taking photos, pavement cores, measuring lot areas, notating pavement deficiencies, and estimating probable construction costs.  Our focus was to identify repairs needed immediately to protect pavement substructure and to identify potential maintenance programs to protect the parking lots until extensive reconstruction work can be undertaken.

The study was approved by the University and we have subsequently prepared construction documents for the immediate repair and major reconstruction of several lots.
