Laclede Station Road

The City of Maplewood wanted to improve traffic flow, vehicular and pedestrian safety and drainage along Laclede Station Road. The roadway had been overlaid and patched several times over its life and not only showed increasing signs of distress, but was no longer cost effective to continually repair.

This federally funded road improvement project included new concrete pavement, curb and gutters, 1,100 feet of new sidewalks, and 12 ADA compliant curb ramps. Oates Associates completed full survey; prepared plans, specifications, and estimates; and provided construction observation and material testing.  Construction observation and material testing duties entailed full time observation; federal and MoDOT LPA documentation; and soil, aggregate, and concrete material testing.
