The Chair Award, presented by the American Council of Engineering Companies of Illinois (ACEC-IL), recognizes outstanding service to the organization and engineering. Bruce Schopp, PE, SE, President of Oates Associates, Inc., was honored to receive such a recognition this past week. Bruce has served on the ACEC-IL board since 2010, most recently as Past President. As a Chair Award recipient, he was acknowledged for his “various involvements in many committees, leading the update of the ACEC-IL Organizational Operations Manual and By Laws, providing guidance during the ACEC-IL building sale, his overall positive attitude, and continuous support for the success of ACEC-IL and the entire industry.”
