National Engineers Week (EWeek)  was founded by the National Society of Professional Engineers 70 years ago and builds public awareness of engineers’ positive contributions to quality of life while promoting STEM initiatives to motivate youth to pursue engineering careers. Oates’ contribution to promoting engineering has come in many forms, some of which have included serving on professional society boards and committees, visiting with k-12 students to discuss engineering, serving as mentors for college students, giving back through scholarships and other donations, etc.

For EWeek, Oates Associates celebrated engineers through a Spirit Week with themed days.  These included telling project tales, building competitions, dressing as a favorite engineer, engineering trivia and digging through the archives to share graduation photos.

We would like to thank our engineers for all that they do to continue to build up the engineering profession!
