The Southern Illinois University Edwardsville School of Engineering hosts an annual Honors Day program to celebrate exceptional faculty and students. Oates Associates is honored to participate in such a motivating program, and to be one of several organizations that presents students with a scholarship. Bruce Schopp, President of Oates Associates, bestowed the Oates Associates Civil Engineering Scholarship to five students who have excelled academically. In total, the Honors Day program awarded 60 students with scholarships.
“We encourage the academic success of future engineers, and the School of Engineering has always provided a hands-on, interactive learning process for students,” stated Schopp. “We look forward to seeing these students continue to thrive academically – and grow into leadership roles within the engineering community.”
