Oates Associates: Engineering + Architecture

The Morris University Center (MUC) is the hub of activities for the University. Visitors can find restaurants, meeting spaces, recreational facilities as well as many other spaces and services. The lower level of MUC houses many dining options, including a full service Pizza Hut and Taco Bell. Oates Associates performed a complete addition and renovation to the restaurants and the food court façades, as well as both food preparation areas. The project included programming, design, overall coordination with franchise representatives and the University, construction documents and construction administration. This process involved adaptation of the prototype standards to the existing space, coordination of new and existing food service equipment, as well as design of the service counter and façade.
