Kahok Stadium is the home of Collinsville High School’s football, soccer, and track teams. Additionally, the school’s physical education department uses the facility, when available.  Frequent use, often combined with wet weather or drought conditions, habitually damaged the natural grass to a deteriorated state.  These conditions made it difficult for athletic play, raised safety concerns, and made the field unusable for PE.  In response, Collinsville Community Unit School District #10 decided to replace the natural grass field inside the track with synthetic turf.

Oates Associates provided survey and civil engineering services in connection with the installation of the synthetic turf field. Additional work included resurfacing the 400-meter track, installing an access control fence, providing storm drainage, bleacher pad construction, and erosion control operations were required.
