This Design/Build project at Scott Air Force Base encompassed various renovations, including the construction of a new 2-story building and a new 1-story building within the existing hangar building footprint.  New construction included administrative offices and secure equipment storage for the 932nd Airlift Wing / Aircraft Maintenance Squadron.  The renovation work included replacement of deteriorated hangar door seals and brushes, along with upgrades to the wash rack equipment and electrical panel boards.

Oates Associates provided architectural and structural engineering services. The 932nd personnel requested early completion of the project to avoid interruptions to their operations.  This required detailed coordination between Oates, the contractor and the users.  This eventually led to an early completion of the entire project, allowing the user to take beneficial occupancy early.
